On the order form for a Contour license there is a 25% surcharge for VAT. However, my company is location in the USA. It is my understanding that VAT should not be charged for exports outside of the EU:
Export of goods to customers (company or private individual) outside of the EU is free of VAT, but, as for intra-community sales, proof of dispatch/delivery to document zero-rating should be kept. http://www.kpmg.com/DK/da/nyheder-og-indsigt/nyhedsbreve-og-publikationer/publikationer/tax/moms-told-afgifter/Documents/VAT-in-Denmark.pdf
Is this correct?

Hi Arie,
Yup that's correct, if you create a profile on umbraco.com and your location is set to USA the VAT won't be charged.
Maybe you aren't signed in or your location isn't set to USA?
Cheers,Tim
Ah - that explains it. I was logged at our.umbraco.com but not at umbraco.com...
Yup if not logged in it will asume you are in EU so you'll order in euros and get vat added :)
