I've looked at umbraco tv contour section and am wondering whether we can add a sql server database connection to forms the opposite way creating the form first before adding the database?
Nope the way it is setup is that the database is examined and then the form is created based on that... so there is nothing in the UI that makes that possible, it might be doable with some manual db actions but you'll have to investigate that a bit (so first create a form with the datasource wizard, check how that is setup in the db and then alter that for the exiting form)
