    Umbraco Backend Crashing when uninstalling Contour

    Anyone had issues installing contour 3.015 under v4.11.8 ?

    I get this message when trying to access the backend

    Could not load file or assembly 'Umbraco.Forms.References, Version=1.0.10920.32880, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

    Removing  Umbraco.Forms.Core.dll  give me more errors !!! 

    Could not load file or assembly 'Umbraco.Forms.CodeFirst' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

    Hey Fuji,

    I got this recently, I copied the Contour files back from Dev server to local machine and it went away, not sure if somehow a dll got removed, or a glitch happened.

    You could trying to restore all the fresh contour dll's to your bin folder.

    Hi Fuji,

    I have seen this issue, I think there is a Umbraco.Forms reference left over in web.config that needs removing, try searching web.config for Umbraco.Forms

    Weird i got it working by copying Umbraco.Forms.Core, Umbraco.Forms.Core.Providers, Umbraco.Forms.Mvc , Umbraco.Forms.References, Umbraco.Forms.UI dlls...

    Yeah it's the web.config that doesn't get updated on uninstall causing the issue, will look into a fix for this one ;) but why would you uninstall Contour :p

    Hi Tim,

    Uninstalled contour since the installed previous version was corrupt on installation. :) By the way Tim, how can i fix Special Characters when exporting my entries to xsl?
