Error inserting Contour Macro in RichTextEditor in Umbraco 7
I've being searching for somebody that has the same error but it happens only to me :/
This error occurs when I try to insert the conutour macro in the property I've defined for some document type. The app throws an error ("NullReferenceException") and doesn't render the HTML of the macro in the RichTextEditor, but it does when I access to the page from the site.
Anybody has the same error??
I'm using Umbraco 7 and Contour 3.0.20. Below is the img of the error It may be useful for somebody.
Thanks for answering! I forget to remark that I'm using the Umbraco version that you can download from the download page, not the signed one for Contour (99 USD or the Complete version). May be the error can be related with that.
Below are some screen dumps that shows what I'm trying to do. In the error log there is nothing about this.
Hmm, yes that look weird. Perhaps it's a good idea to file a bug report on the issue tracker about this since that should really not be happening. There is only one Contour version. The difference is wether or not you pay for a license or just use it for demo purposes on your local environment. Without the paid license your forms won't work on a live website since a contour.lic file needs to be generated and placed in your /bin/ folder.

Hi Rodrigo and welcome to our :)
Have you checked the /app_data/logs file as well? Perhaps it can reveal some more information.
But how do you render the code for the RTE? And what does your form look like etc. - could you perhaps post some screendumps of this as well?
It might be a bug and if it is then you can report it on the issue tracker :)

Have there been any further developments on this issue? Was a ticket lodged?
We are experiencing the same issue. Screenshots are below.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Bump - getting the same issue
Hi Zac
Are you running a version of Umbraco 7 below 7.1.3? If yes then upgrading to 7.1.3 or even better the newly released 7.1.4 will fix it.
Cheers, Jan
Hi,
Same issue, Umbraco 7.1.4
//Tobbe
Hi Jan, already upgraded to 7.1.3.
I'll try upgrading again to 7.1.4 :)
Zac,
Even upgrading the version doesn't work, right?
Kind regards!
This is not really an issue in the sense that it runs perfectly fine in the front end... At least in my setup.
I guess if you know the form is inserted and running fine front end, this is just a minor (admittedly annoying).... Annoyance :)
is working on a reply...
