Contour is a commercial product but there seems to be no mechanism to get support for these types of issues and it has been quite a while since there was an update, e.g. in this forum.
This situation doesn't seem to be ideal, I would really like to use Contour in more of my projects but at this moment I'm not really inspired with confidence regarding the outlook/long term viability of using Contour.
I do not wish to be negative. Contour is still a great product and has even greater potential but it would be cool if there could be some real feedback on this.
No problem :) but yeah you have been hanging there with the bug for some time, sorry about that... but wasn't considered a high priority one since not affecting that many people.
And like all software there will always be bugs... so doing are best to keep on top :)
@Tim - To reiterate its a commercial product. None of my posts have been addressed. It took me time and effort to post them. They at least deserve a response. Why don't you fix the problems in the current version first?
Just wanted to chime in that I feel exactly the same as the OP, we have bended and extended Contour a lot because it's a great and powerful product, but yes it does feel like it's being left behind, it's good to hear you are working on the next version now.
My only outstanding issue is the dire performance when a member is logged in, it updates the membership on every step which can hinder performance massively, but apart from that it's awesome and well worth the 99EURO.
I did notice some improvements, however it does still reach 10 seconds on some steps which is still too much, however I'm pretty sure this is more prevalent in SQL Azure as it doesn't seemt to affect our SQL Server VM installations.
Is Contour dead/discontinued or just in hibernation?

In hibernation :) mainly due to our workload the past months (hence the recruitement) but you'll be glad to hear we just started work on Contour 4 :)

btw if you need a rest api now you can already use http://our.umbraco.org/projects/website-utilities/cultiv-restcontour ;
For the dynamics bug I'll look into that shortly :)

Looking forward to that dynamics fix, hard coding guids for my lookups is so tedious ;)
