I have the trial version of v4.0.0.1 running in Umbraco 7.2.1
I do not see the "Contour Permissions" in the Users section. Should I or has this gone now in Umbraco Forms?
If it were there would it give the ability for some users to see some forms and not others, and for some users to create forms but not see the entries, and some users to only see the entries?
Is this likely to be before our go live around March 18th?
Is the same security service available and would the UI in Forms respect it if I were to write my own version of this - maybe as a dashboard or something like that?
Currently no plans to include it since one of the main design goals with Forms was to simplify and not try to have a solution for every scenario. But if you think this is a essential feature we migth reconsider (add it to the issue tracker).
So if you really want the feature i would suggest that you use Contour (works fine on Umbraco v7 sites)

Hi John,
I have not tried Umbraco Forms yet, but have you checked whether the section is perhaps just disabled for the user in user section?
Best,
Sören
Thanks Sören
Yes all sections are enabled and I'm logged in as the admin user (id:0)
Maybe is it something you only get out of trial mode is the only thing I'm wondering?

Hi John, yup it isn't part of Forms only found in Contour
Thanks Tim :)
Sorry to ask three follow up questions

Amazing - thank you - that's great news. Hadn't understood that.
Just a word of warning to anyone...
Installing Contour without removing Umbraco Forms first seems to do this:
I'm asked by my customer - Is there a long term plan to support contour if we choose this option? Or will long term support only be for Umbraco Forms?
At http://issues.umbraco.org/issues/CON it says "Umbraco Forms" aka Contour.
Please can anyone make a statement?
Now there is a request. http://issues.umbraco.org/issue/CON-745
Please vote.
