Hmm.
The formatting got a bit messed up. And the Japanese characters i pasted in disappeared. However it should work if you find a Japanese character here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_characters
Do you have any date planned for next maintenance release? This is kind of a show stopper on our current project, so it would be good to have a time frame to report back to our client.
Contour seems to have issues with Japanese characters in both captions and answers.
Hi. I have some issues with contour which you might be able to help me sort out.
Short summary of the issues:
Issue 1.
If a caption starts with a Japanese character ex: "" the submitted
entries will not be listed backend. However the rendering and overall usage of
the form frontend works fine.
Issue 2:
If an answer in a form contains a Japanese character the character is not
rendered out in the entries section. If you add an answer like this "my text "
only "my text" is displayed and exported.
Testsetup:
Clean umbraco 4.0.3 install with runway.
Installed contour 1.0.9.1 downloaded here: http://nightly.umbraco.org/Umbraco%20Contour/1.0.9.1/
Machine running Windows 7 64bit with IIS
Recreate issue 1:
Create a form with one field and name the caption "". Include the form in
one of the runway pages, and make submit some text to it. Head back to the form
in the contour section and click entries. The entries view is now
empty.
However contour says that its "Showing 1 to 0 of 1 entries".
The submitted e
ntry is also present in the database
Recreate issue 2:
Create a form with one field and name the caption "A". Include the form in
one of the runway pages, and submit the following text to the form "my text"
Head back to the form in the contour section and click entries. Now you will
see one entry.
However it only displays "my text" and not "my text" as you
would expect. In the
database however the record seems to be stored correctly
Please let me know if you need more information or there is some information i might have left out
