    Timeline for an Umbraco 5 version of Courier

    Is the Umbraco 5 version of Courier being developed in parallel with Umbraco 5, or will development start after Umbraco 5 is released?

    I've got a deadline of May 31st for a very large site with a small CMS component.  Would I be better to stick with Umbraco 4.7 if I really need courier?

    Here are two relevant threads;

    http://our.umbraco.org/forum/umbraco-pro/contour/28083-Countour-for-Umbraco-v5

    http://our.umbraco.org/forum/umbraco-pro/courier/28438-Courier-between-47-and-50

    In the first thread Niels says: "Contour and Courier for v5 is coming this quarter. Contour will come before Courier, though."

    Hope they help

    Hi!

    In the thread:
    http://our.umbraco.org/forum/umbraco-pro/contour/28083-Countour-for-Umbraco-v5
    Niels says: "Contour and Courier for v5 is coming this quarter. Contour will come before Courier, though."

    That's written 3 months ago and we have already passed the quarter he refering to. Anyone knows when Courier for v5 is availible?

    In this blog post Hartvig says Courier for v5 is coming in Q4 2012 with public betas in Q3.

    A question a bit out of scope, how do you folks deploy between dev and production environments without Courier?

    It looks like "Plan B" for our team will be Team City and MS Build Community Tasks

    http://www.jetbrains.com/teamcity/
    https://github.com/loresoft/msbuildtasks/

     With the MSBuild task "SqlExecute" we can backup and restore the sql server database.
