Courier 2.5.4.1 - Errors creating a Courier Revision

    Hi,

We have been running into difficulties creating a Courier Revision using the latest version of the product.

It happens consistently for the Documents Provider as well as Media Provider. Essentially, any node we try to package throws this error.

I've gone through the other posts in this forum to see if a solution has been posted but nothing has helped.

    This is the error message:

Umbraco.Courier.Core.Exceptions.PackageException: Unable to load item with id '-1' from provider 'Documents' ---> Umbraco.Courier.Core.Exceptions.RetrieveException: Error retrieving item [-1] from provider [d8e6ad83-e73a-11df-9492-0800200c9a66]. ---> System.FormatException: Guid should contain 32 digits with 4 dashes (xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx). at System.Guid.GuidResult.SetFailure(ParseFailureKind failure, String failureMessageID, Object failureMessageFormatArgument, String failureArgumentName, Exception innerException) at System.Guid.TryParseGuidWithDashes(String guidString, GuidResult& result) at System.Guid.TryParseGuid(String g, GuidStyles flags, GuidResult& result) at System.Guid..ctor(String g) at Umbraco.Courier.Persistence.V4.NHibernate.Persisters.DocumentItem.RetrieveItem[T](ItemIdentifier itemId) in c:\Program Files (x86)\teamcity\buildAgent\work\d94035a1177dda67\Umbraco.Courier.Persistence.NHibernate\Persisters\Document.cs:line 70 at Umbraco.Courier.Core.ItemCrudProvider.RetrieveItem[T](ItemIdentifier itemId) --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at Umbraco.Courier.Core.ItemCrudProvider.RetrieveItem[T](ItemIdentifier itemId) at Umbraco.Courier.ItemProviders.DocumentItemProvider.HandlePack(ItemIdentifier id) in c:\Program Files (x86)\teamcity\buildAgent\work\d94035a1177dda67\Umbraco.Courier.Providers\ItemProviders\ContentItemProvider.cs:line 79 at Umbraco.Courier.Core.ItemProvider.Package(ItemIdentifier id) at Umbraco.Courier.RepositoryProviders.Local.Package(ItemIdentifier itemId) in c:\Program Files (x86)\teamcity\buildAgent\work\d94035a1177dda67\Umbraco.Courier.RepositoryProviders\Local\Local.cs:line 225 at Umbraco.Courier.Core.Packaging.RevisionPackaging.‡(ItemIdentifier itemId, ItemProvider provider, QueuedItemIdentifier itemInQueue) --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at Umbraco.Courier.Core.Packaging.RevisionPackaging.‡(ItemIdentifier itemId, ItemProvider provider, QueuedItemIdentifier itemInQueue) at Umbraco.Courier.Core.Packaging.RevisionPackaging.†() at Umbraco.Courier.Core.Packaging.RevisionPackaging.Package() at Umbraco.Courier.Core.TaskManager.(IRevisionTask value) 4/16/2012 6:36:12 PM

Any ideas how we can get past this block? We need to make a migration soon.. any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Anybody?

I've taken a look at most of the umbraco tables, including nodes, documents, datatypes, propertydata etc..  but could not find any null or empty id's as mentioned by other forum posters. We are not using any of the more advanced datatypes (ultimate picker for instance).

Our application farm is currently hosted in azure using the accelerator, using sql azure backend. Is there any impact with this setup?

    Thanks,

    -Isaac

I'm not sure what happened, but I ended up reinstalling courier and the problem fixed itself. Courier works like a charm when all is said and done.
