We have a staging environment and a non-public facing editor site that is part of the public facing live web farm. We currently have basic authentication set up on the staging site and would like to also secure the editor site this way as well but this prevents courier from working. Is there are a way of configuring courier to allow us to do this or will we effectively need to switch the editor site over to anonymous authentication prior to couriering over content and then revert back afterwards?
I've had a look in the documentation and can't see an obvious way of doing this.
It appears that this isn't possible right now as I have a similar requirement - see thread here though - a feature request has been raised and the linked request does have a potential workaround in it:
