Currently we work with a dev.domain.com, staging.domain.com, www.domain.com type environment -therefore should only need to set a top level domain (no need for development domains as i understand it).
If this changes - or for some reason the domain.com needs to change to anotherdomain.com, can i simply log into the account, change the domains, and generate a new .lic file?
Or is a one-shot deal - once i do it i cannot re-generate.
Licenses are set to a single domain, once set, they cant be changed, as licenses doesnt callback to a license server, a license file is by itself the only verification we have that people have a valid license, so if you can just create a new license for any domain, why would anyone buy one? :)
Ofcourse, we also understand that clients change their mind, or company names changes etc, in those cases, get in touch with support via the umbraco.com site
Adding/Changing Licensed domains
Hello!
Please confirm
Thanks!
Hi Steve
