    Upgrading sites that are out of sync via Courier

    For Per? - We have two environments - Dev and Live (large, complex sites). I am in the process of upgrading Umbraco from 4.0.3 to 4.8.1. During this process our internal users have only been making changes on Live and now the environments are way out of sync. To avoid losing changes on Live, should I backup and restore the database on Dev and then republish the entire site back to Live via Courier? What's the best way to handle this upgrade and data sync?
