Using Courier we want to ignore all resources in our package, because we deploy xslt, ascx etc via the webdeploy. All items in media folder should also be ignored in the package. How can I achieve this?

Look in courier config, it has a resource filter, which you can use to ignore files just add "*" to that filter and you should ignore everything
