I simply made a package to include one changed template (this template has whole bunch of child ones, but I did not include them). From the saved package on file system, I opened package folder\resources\masterpages\my.master in text editor and I could see the new change is there.
I copied the package to second server to user Courier to import it. But after that I did see the template on 2nd server has been chanaged at all.

I have Courier 2.7.7 with Umbraco 4.9.0.
