On page 6, there is a description on how to install the package manually, and as I understand it you should download a package with a name manual installation or hotfix.
A good alternative, to the Courier package, could be the uSync package, with this package you can sync DocumentTypes, MediaTypes, DataTypes, Macros, DictionaryItems and so on, and with the usync content edition, you can sync your content as the name says. Take a look at this package here: http://our.umbraco.org/projects/developer-tools/usynccontentedition.
You could also try write in that thread, to see if one of them can awser what the did to get it work. I can see that both of them are on Twitter, if you are on Twitter yourself then you could try to write to them, and link to the post, to see if they can remember what they did to solve it.
If you have many other packages installed maybe one of them are conflcting with the Courier package. The processherecouldperhaps beif you have multiplepackages installed, try uninstallingonepackageat a time,to see ifit's anyoftheseare conflicting with Courier
Courier_2.7.8.15.v6 not installing in Umbraco 6.0.5
Hi,
I have downloaded Courier_2.7.8.15.v6.
I am trying to install in my local Umbraco 6.0.5 website. But it is not installing proper.
So i have to go with manual installation process.
Can anyone give me the link of manual courier_2.7.8.15.v6 installation zip.
And my other question is that can courier be used for my local website to production server website.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Urvish
Hi Urvish,
If you are at the space for the Umbraco Courier package http://our.umbraco.org/projects/umbraco-pro/umbraco-courier-2, and you go down the page and find the tab documentation, then you will find the manual for Courier, I have linked to it here
On page 6, there is a description on how to install the package manually, and as I understand it you should download a package with a name manual installation or hotfix.
If you see on this link http://nightly.umbraco.org/UmbracoCourier/2.7.8/nightly%20builds/ There is a zip file named Courier_2.7.8.15.hotfix.v6.zip
And yes Umbraco Courier is for trasfering document types content, and so on from one Umbraco installation to another. Here are some videos, there a bit old, but there are showing the concepts of Courier http://umbraco.com/help-and-support/video-tutorials/umbraco-pro/courier/introduction-to-courier-2.aspx
So if you can´t get Courier to work with your installation, maybe you should have a look at the uSync packages.
Hope this can help you a step further.

Thanks Dennis for the reply.
Hi Dennis,
I tried with manual installation of Courier package which you have mentioned above.
But somehow it is conflicting with my current site.
I tried to install Courier with fresh instance of Umbraco 6.0.5. It works.
Can you please help me to troubleshoot the issue I am facing when integrating the Courier package with current site backup.
Site is working properly but when I go to Umbraco back-end then it gives me the below error.
I have also installed Courier package from the Umbraco back-end in current site but same error occurs.
Thanks.

Hi Dennis,
Thanks a lot for your support.
I have posted in that forum.
I will also check with uninstalling one package at a time because I have multiple packages installed.
I will let you know if any help needed or if I succeed.
