well I find it really confusing, that whenever I post a new forum post, it ends up in the "Getting Started..." category. The questions I have are sometimes specfic to other categories. But even when I filter by that category and then begin a new post, it still ends up in "Getting started...".
However, when I read a support or feedback forum category, and I start a new topic then, my new post ends up in that category.
May be it could be made a little clearer how this is supposed to work :-)
How to select the category to post in
I seem unable to select which category I want to post in when I write a new question in the forum. What am I missing :-) ?
Hi,
It seems you can not choose the topic anymore. I guess people did find to confusing to choose a topic.
What post you wrote/found should have a topic?
Hello Damiaan,
well I find it really confusing, that whenever I post a new forum post, it ends up in the "Getting Started..." category. The questions I have are sometimes specfic to other categories. But even when I filter by that category and then begin a new post, it still ends up in "Getting started...".
However, when I read a support or feedback forum category, and I start a new topic then, my new post ends up in that category.

This looks like a bug in the front end of the forum to me - the drop down is still there but has display: none on it.
Used to be Sebastiaan in charge - I'll tweet him.
Steve,
I don't even see a dropdown for this - see screenshot below. There is just no place where I could select a category.
Thank you for taking care of this.
Also there doesnt seem to be a way to attach a file to a post, is this correct?
Hi,
The owner of the forum has confirmed that the categories are being removed.
You can always add images but I suspect file uploads are not allowed for good reason (security!).
Steve
Thank you for the clarification, Steve.
