    Could not task for operation Delete for node type memberGroups

    Hi! I've recently become aware of an issue affecting quite a few of our sites: When you try to delete a member group in the back office you get YSOD with the error:

    ERROR Umbraco.Web.Editors.LegacyController - Unhandled controller exception occurred

    This happens with newly created groups (no members attached) or existing groups. The sites are various versions 7.15.3, 7.15.1, 7.10.4 but all have been upgraded from earlier versions.

    I found this bug report: https://issues.umbraco.org/issue/U4-11533 but it was closed as it couldn't be replicated.

    I've switched log4net to debug, and noticed Begin request: /umbraco/backoffice/UmbracoApi/Legacy/DeleteLegacyItem?nodeId=Test Group&nodeType=memberGroups&alias=Test Group

    Looks like it's passing an alias instead of an ID. Has anyone else come across this? Any ideas on how to resolve?

    I've got the exact same thing on a couple of sites as well. Anyone have any ideas?

    Hi Paul How you resolved this? I have same issue but for u commerce. Its return me 500
