Hi I have a single e-commerce website I want to host. It is built in Umbraco v7.
I would like to know what are people recommendations on hosting an umbraco website.
There are soo many to choose from I have narrowed it down between hostgator and winserve.
Just wanted to get a feel of what is the go to hoster for umbraco

In my opinion, the best choice would be Azure and AWS depends on the site size and load.
Another great way is Umbraco Cloud, is it for you?

Yes it is for me a personal small e-commerce site. Azure is very expensive hence me looking at cheaper options.
It will be just one website and not that large tbh.
I seem to be leaning more towards hostgator after researching a bit. I may give them a try for a month and see how it is
We use SoftSys for smaller sites. Like $150 / year.
they look good I will give them a month trial and see how I get on. Within my price range too.
Good luck, their ticketed support is pretty responsive. Also free cert with letsencrypt.
Would I need to recreate the data for the umbraco backoffice like my templates nodes doc types etc?
also do you know what files I should be uploading. I think it should be just the DLL and config files ain't it?
