So, a wierd one.
I made a new FieldType. Followed the steps on the official guide, everything is working fine.
I then push my changes to our live environment. I then get an error, stating that it cannot find the partial in the themes folder. It's looking for a file with the name "FieldType.Service Id". Naturally, I had called the partial "FieldType.ServiceId". I then then rename my file, so it contains a space, and now it's working.
Wierd, so I try to do the same locally. It stille works.
So, running locally, Umbraco does not care whether or not there is a space in the partial theme file. But on our live environment, it very much is. In fact, it's expecting it.
Space required in FieldType in theme partial.
