    Upgrade Content Error Invalid column name 'mandatoryMessage' from 7.15.4 to 8.6.4

    Hi:

    I have a 7.15.4 Umbraco installation that works great. I understand that I must spin up a new Umbraco 8 web site and then trick it by setting this key to my 7.15.4 database.

    All is well so far.

    I login to the backend (which has my Umbraco database pointing to my 7.15.4 database. The upgrade continues and goes for about 5 minutes, and then gives me this error:

    Invalid column name 'mandatoryMessage' Invalid column name 'validationRegExpMessage'. and the upgrade stops.

    Can anyone offer any advise on how to fix this?

    Hi,

    I think you need to upgrade to 8.1.x then step from there.
