Migrating old Umbraco 6.1.6 data, to new Umbraco 8 website.
Hello Guys!
I have been assigned a project to upgrade an Umbraco 6.1.6 website with Tea Commerce to Umbraco 8.
The website owner wants to start the frontend of the website from scratch (new pages, templates, document types, content, etc.) with new layouts and website structure, but keep it's members, orders, products, ecommerce setup, etc. This is why I decided it's probably best to start the new website from a clean install, with all it's new features and such, then migrate the data over.
I've spun up a new v8 instance, and I'm playing around with Vendr (since Tea Commerce is not supported in v8), which is
the successor of Tea Commerce, but looking at the database structure, they are different.
I'm a .NET developer by trade, but I am fairly new to Umbraco, so I'm looking for recommendations, guides, tutorials, videos, etc that I can resort to, to get this upgrade done under the current conditions I mentioned above.
