Sorry for the delay. Yes we do have to as our Umbraco was set up by an external and has a very strange structure and is highly modified and cannot be upgraded
I have found various packages that proport to help with this but many havent been tested for many versions of Umbraco
If anyone else has had to export and import members and member groups it would be good to know how this was done. Possibly via the Umbraco API
Even what fields and tables that might need exporting via SQL would be good
Importing members from 7.3 to 8.9
Is there an easy way, API, script as I have read that the sqlmembershipprovider class doesnt work very well
We also have around 10 membership groups and around 15 custom fields in text string format and a few multinodetreepickers
And on another note I need in the future to link users and members to azure AD - any info on this
Cheers

Do you have to do a export/import? I made a upgrade from Umbraco 4.11 up to 8.7 some weeks ago so that might be an option.
