    Adding additional datasource to media archive

    Using Umbraco And Getting Started

    Hello

    Is it possible add additional datasources to the media section? E.g. I would like to add a folder in the media section, which is not handled by Umbraco, but rather pulls media from a 3rd party system. Editors should be able to pick images from that folder and add those to pages.

    It seems that it would be possible, if it's possible to replace the IMediaService, but I don't see any way of replacing IMediaService using DI.

    I hope can guide me in the right direction.

    Hi Martin,

    Long time no see :)

    I don't think it possible out-of-the-box, but in the old ages there was this package: https://our.umbraco.com/packages/backoffice-extensions/universal-media-picker/

    Maybe the package owner or one of the contributors would let you take a peek in the old code.
