Problems with Identity values in umbracoCacheInstruction table of replica servers
Hi
We have an Umbraco 8 installation with one (1) master and several replicas (separate physical servers, no cloud). Filesystem between master and replicas keeps in sync with DFS (excluding TEMP and web.config).
For redundancy, customer insisted into having a separate database for each umbraco server. The databases are replicated (in "Merge" mode) ... Here is where we are having trouble because, now and then, the replicas insert instructions into the umbracoCacheInstruction table and, since the replicas db have their own Identity value (different range) for the Id column, those records have a higher Id value than the range of the master ... so the content update instructions from the master are never processed (because their Ids are much lower than the ones from the replicas)
Any ideas on how to fix this or a better approach ? The redundancy for the database servers is of high importance for the customer.
