Hi Umbraco folks. I have a question about future of Nested Content. A customer planned to use it in a new project because it fits the needs of the content editor. Is there a risk that Nested Content can be deprecated in a near future ?
Hi Mohammed
For Umbraco 8 no problems with NestedContent
But why Nested Content is better than Block editor for you?
Thanks,
Alex
Hello Alex.
It's a choice of the content editor. For a specific element, he choosed Nested Content instead of Block Lists with inline editing.
One side on using Nested Content. It does not work when used inside of the Block List Editor.
But you can use the block list editor instead of nested content and set the editing mode to inline and it will behave the same.

Yeh I tried this solution, but it doesn't convinced the editor. Thanks for your answer anyway.
Strange that it does not convince the editor. Because from a editor perspective it works almost exactly the same. But with more features.
You as developer should tell them that nested content is eventually going to be replaced /deprecated.
So the future proof solution is to use the block list editor.
