I am migrating a webstie from 7 to 8. Due to its complexity and the clients needs, I've chosen to migrate using uSync, basically exporting all content and content types, having a script to modify the exported xml file to the new uSync structure and then reimport the data to Umbraco 8 site.
The question comes to member data, specifically the passwords.
From the xml file, we see:
I have set the machiene key to the same as the v7 site, but it does nto allow the user to log in. What am I missing here?
Are the settings the same for membership in both web.config files, possibly the passwords are saved differently between the two systems would be my first thought.
