There is no ability to re-name, move or sort Dictionary items, which means that there is little scope for managing, extending and improving the Dictionary section.
As the Dictionary gets bigger, it become hard to organise.
Is there a package to manage Dictionary items, or plans to add sort/move functions in v8?
I don't know about moving and sorting, but I think the reason you can't "rename" dictionary items is that they are referred to by name in the view templates. So if you were going to rename one, you'd have to find every place where that item is used in order to update the views. It would make it quite a challenge.

As more text is added iteratively into the dictionary, the greater the need to order the items, including putting then into folders and sub-folders, so that it is easier to find and edit the text.
Re-naming was just a 'nice to have', and looks like it is not practical.
