    Ending preview on unpublished page results in "page not found"

    Using Umbraco And Getting Started
    Umbraco 8

    Hi, I'd like to know if this is a bug and how we can prevent seeing the 404 page not found. The client we are working with does not like seeing the error.

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Create a new page
    2. Enter required fields (do not publish)
    3. Click "Save and preview" at bottom of page
    4. Click "End" at the bottom right of the preview bar

    Results in page not found

    Hi Ninjajs,

    I'm not sure you can prevent that occurring because when you end preview, the site is then trying to serve up the live content, but the page you were previewing is no longer available.

    Have you set your site up with a custom 404 page, or are you currently using default 404 page? If you are using the default one, I would suggest setting up a custom one, so at least the appearance is inline with the website, which might make it less jarring for your client.
