I have a number of Umbraco sites (about 25) running on a managed VPS. Some v7, some v8. Some use SQL CE, some use SQL Server. Currently they each have their own application pool - which seems to be a bit of a drain on the available memory.
Rather than just blindly pay for additional RAM, just wondering whether it's OK to run multiple Umbraco sites under the one application pool?
Are there any gotchas or things to look out for before I give it a try? What is best practice?
