I configured different User Groups that can access only the own media folder tree (setting the Media start node) and they have full control in this folder
However I also need to allow this user groups to access the Media Root folder (in read-only mode) so they can link also the media files that are saved outside their own media folder.
No unfortunately not. I have just been on a project where the client wish for the same. But is only full access/control over everything or the selected start media folder at the user profile.
It could bee so sweet if the same permission settings method on the content, could be part of the media library, but for now it´s only a dream! :(
For my cases the client just adapt to the lack of permission settings on the media library
