URL tracking entries removed when enabling 'vary by culture'
I am working on an established site that is based in English (en-us), and the client now want to expand to cover more languages.
One of the stumbling blocks that I have come across to start with is it seems that as soon as I enable 'Allow vary by culture' on the root document type for the site, all of the entries in the 'Redirect URL Management' section (under 'Content') are updated so that the value of the redirect URL is a '#'.
It might be that this is by design, however we plan to keep the default path (/) as en-us, and any other languages will be qualified with a sub path in the url (such as /fr for french for example).
Is anybody aware of why this might be happening? Effectively all URLs are staging the same for the en-us version, so I do not want to lose these entries in the URL Redirect Managment.
