    Use fully qualified path for media link in Rich Text Field

    Using Umbraco And Getting Started
    Umbraco 7

    is there a way to ensure Umbraco stores the fully qualified path to a media file if it is added to a Rich Text Field editor?

    We have an external app that looks at the Umbraco content and would like to find a way for it to store the fully qualified path rather than "/media/1234/test.png"

    Hi Mike,

    Would it be a solution for you to copy the url from the media library and add it in the RTE as an external image?

    Ideally, I would like the content managers to continue to use the inbuilt controls in the RTE (plus we already have several hundred rich text fields that may have URLs for media files in them) but it is certainly an option Many thanks
