Hi, I am new to Umbraco. I understand you can support multiple languages for a publication by filling different fields.
But is it possible to automatically fill out the other languages for a publication by code? I am considering automatic translations using for instance Azure.
PS. Expensive packages is not a solution in this project :)
This will send each property to azure for translation and put it back in the location for the correct language.
I am not sure if this handles properties in things like the grid, or other complex content items (e.g nested content, block lists) because these items there is often more than just strings stored in the property values, so you need some code to extract the relevant text from the json for translation and then put the translated text back into the correct location. (this is what the expensive package does, and it is free if you only have two languages ;) )
Hi Kevin, I can see that you are the owner of Translation Manager. In that perspective, it is extremely kind of you to point out this free solution. Thank you so much :)
I am contemplating a project for a non-profit housing association that I live in and I make it available for free.
Later on it may have a commercial perspective for other housing associations, but the money involved are probably small.
I am looking for translation between Danish, English, Turkish and Arabic. I am unsure of Arabic. I have noticed that it is not part of Umbraco translations either. Is that an issue?
If for instance a title and the contents of a RTF-editor can be translated using Pauls package, I think I can make a lot of people happy.

Hi Søren,
Paul Seal did something while back to do something similar, https://github.com/prjseal/Auto-Translate-for-Umbraco (for Umbraco v8)
