When an image is added within the RTE, there are fields for an Alternative Text and Caption. The Alt Text field does add a new alt to the image, but the caption field doesn't appear to do anything. I'm confused as to why this field exists without any purpose, as it doesn't even save the caption when entered into the field.
Is there a way to make this caption field actually add a text caption below the RTE image?
Using Umbraco version 8.17.0.
EDIT: it looks like this is a repeatedly reported bug that has never been fixed and seems to be ignored repeatedly. I'm wondering why the Caption field is consistently included in Umbraco versions without this being fixed?

unfortunately this was only fixed in v9.4.0 I don't think it was fixed for v8
