I have a docker container stored with a vendor.
Is it possible to have Umbraco connect to it? Not sure where to start?

I can't really understand your question too well, but do you mean you have an external Docker Container with an MSSQL Database? Or would you like to move your Umbraco Instance to a Docker container?
