I have a website running on Umbraco version 8.5.5 and we have had performance issues from the start.
The site is hosted on Azure using an S2.
Another company hosts the site now but when I hosted it (on the same azure s2) I would notice the memory spike to 100% frequently. When this happened the site would often error and a restart of the server would be required. The client can't go any higher on a server so I'm looking for performance fixes.
I'm currently optimizing all images and resolving 404 errors. Would there be any benefit in updating umbraco? This is my only umbraco site so learning as I go. Any other tips for performance? Thank you.
