I have basic authentication enabled on several environments and I would like to customize the text on the default message that shows up on the browser alert / form with the username and password inputs.
Has anyone tried this successfully and is able to direct me to the standard Umbraco files / folders where this is editable?
If you'r referring to the built in browser popup message prompting you to enter credentials (basic authentication) then you can't change the way it looks or what it says.
Basic authentication - Customize browser alert message
Hi!
I have basic authentication enabled on several environments and I would like to customize the text on the default message that shows up on the browser alert / form with the username and password inputs.
Has anyone tried this successfully and is able to direct me to the standard Umbraco files / folders where this is editable?
Thanks!
Hi!
If you'r referring to the built in browser popup message prompting you to enter credentials (basic authentication) then you can't change the way it looks or what it says.
If you mean you're using Umbraco's user login form then have a look here: https://our.umbraco.com/Documentation/Fundamentals/Backoffice/Login/index-v8
