I was wondering if it's possible to submit a Workflow request from the front end website similar to how you can utilise the ContentService to SaveAndPublish content from outside the backoffice?

What I'm trying to achieve is for members to log in the front end, make minor changes to content, hit submit and have that as in the backoffice waiting for an administrator user to approve the change (via Workflow). I can save / save and publish changes from the front end via the ContentService (under a specially created user) but I can't find a way to do similar for Workflow. Is this possible?

If not possible, are there any other established ways to do something similar?
