You have to install it locally and republish (then just copy any changed files to the published site), if the db changes are done by the package then they should get applied when you restart your published site, much the same way as updating your umbraco version works
Install package on published site?
Hi! I just want to know how all of you work with packages now that it's not possile to install through the backend anymore.
I have no problem installing packages while developing the site locally but what if I want to install on a published site?
We have our own server where we have all the published sites so normally I work local and when it s time to publish I create a publish version.
But what If I want to install a package later and one that needs modifying the database?
