Hi everyone,
I want to change the default "/umbraco" to "/cms".
As i know, we can change the default admin url in Umbraco 8 following the document below
https://our.umbraco.com/documentation/reference/security/customizing-the-backoffice-url
I have searched for the same thing in Umbraco 10 but could not found anything.
Any know if we can do the same thing in Umbraco 10 ?
Thanks!
Hi duanleou90
The ability to change the /umbraco backoffice folder name via the 'UmbracoPath' configuration value has been removed in V10 :-(
If you see the list of breaking changes here:
https://docs.umbraco.com/umbraco-cms/fundamentals/setup/upgrading/version-specific#umbraco-10
Lots of good reasons for wanting to change it, (I know) but I think the current suggestion, if the aim is obscurity, would be to use rewrite rules to obscure it's existence instead of changing it to be something else.
regards
Marc
Hi March Goodson,
