I am currently working on a project that requires the display and ability to download unsupported file types such as CSV.
The documentation states they are not supported file types however I can still create media items such as CSV files and use them in content to display and download without any errors.
I am just looking for an answer as to why this is possible if they are not supported and if it could cause problems down the line for some reason.
It depends how you are uploading it. If directly into media library there are no restrictions, if using an Upload property type on a document then restrictions can be set
