Is Umbraco ModelsBuilder maintained in a repo that takes pull requests? Has the idea of exporting property alias as a constant been reviewed?

Essentially the question is why does ModelsBuilder not export the property alias as a const? It has the information.
I think I potentially could save myself the time in one project if I could just update the models builder code.
So is there an active repo? Has someone tried to do this? It seems so obvious to me that there must be some reason why no one has done this.
