Creating a Form that saves to the Database (Not using Umbraco Forms)

I am using Umbraco 12 and I am looking to create a contact us form with the standard fields (Name, Email, Subject, Message) but I am not allowed to use paid components (Umbraco Forms).

Can anyone point me to a tutorial I can follow.

you can use a standard .net/html form to do this, just post the form to an umbracosurface controller
