Trying to do a workspace restore on umbraco cloud to move content from Live to Staging environment caused sql locking issues and it seems downstream caused indexing issues that broke all search based services for a web site.

This actually resulted in an all hands on deck issue for us. Personally, I will not use the workspace restore in the future given the risk.

It is common use case to move all content from one environment to another. Is there a means of doing this that is less risky? For example, can we do a database backup and restore from live to staging environment and then copy all media files?
