Umbraco 7.2.8 very slow publishing

Hey guys! So i came across our website that hasnt been updated for a while and its in umbraco 7.2.8. The problem is, when i try to upload any content or make changes in the backoffice its very very slow. Like days, slow. i publish something today it takes 1 or 2 days to get in the website. Does anyone knows how to solve this behaviour? thanks!
