I inherited an umbraco website to host whilst I rebuild their system on an alternative platform. I set up the database, copied the files, updated web.config connectionString with the new database, redirected the dns record and set up new ssl on my server.

The site constantly refreshes itself before the browser gives up. I added a .htaccess file containing just;

RewriteEngine Off

but no luck. I notice in the web.config file that there are some redirects;

I removed these but still the same.

Can anyone help
