Hi All,
We've ran into a problem with one of our sites running 7.2.2. The cache folder in it keeps growing like mad....
It's over 2 gigs right now. It is filled with folders containing one image...
Does somebody know what's happening? Is there a way to let it periodically clear the cachefolder?
Thanks, Frans
You will need to get the ImageProcessor config package and then lower the MaxDays attribute in cache.config http://imageprocessor.org/imageprocessor-web/configuration/#cacheconfig
How many images are you serving on your website?
They have about 200 - 250 images on the site.
Is it possible to only refer to the config file and only use that? Wat would be a accaptable caching period?
Thanks
I think I found a issue in the site after asking... Can I delete the contents of the cachefolder? Or will this screw up the live site?
Yes you can delete it, best way todo it is to rename it and then delete it. If you get locking issues you may need to stop the app pool
Delete the entire cache folder you mean? Or rename all the folders inside?
Rename it to cachedelete, then delete it
is working on a reply...
