Details of 6.2.6 update? What files are affected? What does it fix?

I stumbled upon the download page yesterday and noticed an update for Umbraco 6.x, 6.2.6 yet I saw no notification about this update. Apparently it fixes an issue with CPU spikes/pegs? We've seen issues since our upgrade to 6.2.5 where things start publishing really really slow, but other days it's really fast. Today we had our first hard peg that took down the server enough that we could not reset the app pool, had to pull the plug.

What exactly does this update address? Are there specific files that I only need to copy or must I do a full typical Umbraco update and copy everything? This sounds like a hot fix to me.

    Hi

as far as i can tell 6.2.6 only contains the fix for the high cpu issues.

the release notes for 6.2.6 point to this issue http://issues.umbraco.org/issue/U4-6292 so i think that is all that is in the release.

In terms of whats changed in the downloads only the bin files are different between 6.2.5 and 6.2.6 so I would think that you only need to update the bin folder.

When you do this, umbraco will run an update screen (it checks the version of umbraco in web.config against the db) - looking at the changes i don't think this will change anything in the database, it will just update version numbers.

One step I stumbled upon, for production you will need to copy the Install folder back until the upgrade is complete.
