    Request Timed Out Issues

We are currently running Umbraco v 7.2.8 and are experiencing issues with website randomly becoming unavailable. There are no errors in the Umbraco logs or the Event Log for the server except a HttpException: Request Timed Out with no further details in the stack trace.

The website becomes unusable until we recycle the app pool. Again, this is randomly happening. Sometimes once a week, other times multiple times a day.

Server Information Windows Server 2012 R2 16 GB Ram 4 CPUs

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you need to install KB3052480, First check if it's installed already. More info at http://issues.umbraco.org/issue/U4-6338?preventRedirect=true

    Jeavon,

Thanks for the quick reply, but are issue is a little different than the one referenced in the post you shared and the description of what the hotfix addresses.

Our app pool in not shutting down. The app pool is still up, request are just timing out and the server is not responding.

We just recently installed all available windows updates to the server due to the problem you referred us too. We are not seeing the repeated Umbraco restarts in the Umbraco logs like we were before the updates were installed.

Although, we don't have KB3052480 installed on the server unless it was rolled into another update.

When the issue we have happens, the memory begins to spike and Request Timed Out exceptions start showing up

If you have any other ideas please share.

    Thanks.

Still sounds like you need KB3052480 to me. It's an optional update, did you install all of those? I wouldn't recommend running Umbraco on 2012R2 without KB3052480 regardless.
