    Reliable Stats on Umbraco?

    Umbraco Stats

Do any of you have reliable statistics relating to Umbraco? Anything would be useful, but here are some examples:

    • Number of daily installs.
    • Average team size for Umbraco builds.
    • Geographic distribution of Umbraco developers.
    • The top 10 most trafficked Umbraco sites.
    • The number of Umbraco websites your agency has produced.

Here are some example I've already come across:

    350K active installs (via https://twitter.com/umbraco/status/721947333399822336). 350K Installs

Umbraco projects are worth $3.3 billion/year (via https://twitter.com/umbraco/status/723578734503182336).

    3.3 Billion/Year

58% of active Umbraco installs are on the latest version, Umbraco 7 (via https://twitter.com/umbraco/status/720948124227870720).

any stats from recent keynotes ie #uWest16 would be accurate. Also that posted pic from the HQ dashboard monitor should be taken as fact as well. There is no way for accurate # of total installs as it relies on the update available ping if i am not mistaken. I know there have been regional breakdowns and version breakdowns presented by HQ at these keynotes previously mentioned above. I would ping your friendly HQ member of choice and i am sure they will share with you.

all that being said... i am not sure your approach is the most effective "flies with honey" approach... but i may not be seeing your complete context.

Best of luck getting the info you desire for your presentation.

No vinegar intended. Just a reference to this idiom:

x% of all statistics are made up.

    Example: http://www.businessinsider.com/736-of-all-statistics-are-made-up-2010-2

Also that posted pic from the HQ dashboard monitor should be taken as fact as well.

Yep, the items I listed are ones I am considering to have a reliable source. Others I would consider a little more dubious (via https://twitter.com/umbraco/status/717700516982161408):

Thanks, I'll give that another try :-)

Niels back around the end of last year/start of this year tweeted this

Which show the breakdown of Umbraco installs by Country for 2015

In case anybody is curious, I'm also asking this question on Twitter: https://twitter.com/MrMarsRed/status/724645778807889920

Looks like the "@umbraco" Twitter account has some nice stats, but would be great to have even more.

Last time I'll pester you all about Umbraco stats, promise.

Tomorrow is my last day to gather stats, so if anybody has any info they think might be of some use, please do share.

I would be immensely grateful. Thanks!
